Six decades of smiles,
built on trust
Established in 1965, Dental Arts has been bringing smiles to Davis Square and its surrounding communities for almost 60 years.
Our practice utilizes the most current, state-of-the-art technology and exceeds OSHA standards for safety and cleanliness. Today's diagnostic procedures are more thorough than ever before, while treatments are often faster, less invasive, and pain-free. There is no longer any need for treatment to be uncomfortable, or for the results to be anything less than what you envision.
Our team of general dentists, specialists, and hygienists work together to deliver all your dental needs in one convenient location. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available to accommodate your busy schedule.
Regardless of where you have been, we are eager to help you feel positive about where you are headed.
What sets our practice apart
Three things have kept families coming back to Dental Arts for generations.
Specialists & General Dentists, One Roof
Both general dentists and specialists practice all under one roof, so every dental need is met in-house — no shuffling between offices for your care.
An Experienced, Caring Team
Our experienced and caring staff are experts at providing a warm, reassuring dental experience alongside best-quality care.
60+ Years in Davis Square
We've served Somerville and the surrounding communities for over 60 years, with the current ownership caring for this practice for 30+ years.
Patient-centered care,
the way it should be
Our approach is patient-centered. While generally conservative, we listen to our patients' wishes to establish a treatment plan that fits their lifestyle and budget.
Our equipment is always current and state-of-the-art — but our approach to patient care is traditional. There are often many treatment options for the same problem, and we work to find the one that fits each patient best.

Care for anxious patients
If a patient is fearful of needles or drills, we talk through the treatment plan together and begin with one very simple, small procedure — explaining each step gently and reassuringly.
Scheduling a short, ten-minute procedure, perhaps with a tiny bit of anesthetic and a calm, steady conversation, helps the patient feel less anxious. At the next visit we do a little more, and a little more — building trust and confidence over time. This gentle desensitization has proven very effective.
