Snore Appliances

A dental snore appliance works by gently sliding your jaw forward while you sleep.  This can open the airway in the back of your mouth and throat, allowing more air to enter.  This can often eliminate snoring.  To create your custom appliance, impressions of your upper and lower teeth are taken, along with some specific measurements of your mouth which are then sent to our lab.  The completed snore guard is usually back to our office in about 10 days.  On your return visit, your dentist will fit the appliance and review with you how to use it.   It will be adjusted to provide you with the correct amount of tension needed to slide your jaw into the optimal position while sleeping.
